Tasty Chicken Dip
- 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 pkg. Hidden Valley harvest
- onion dressing mix, dry
- 2 chicken breast
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 cup Miracle Whip dressing
1.Boil chicken breasts, bone & chop fine
2.With mixer: Mix well, softened cream cheese & sour cream
3.Add dry dressing mix, salt, pepper, & garlic powder
4.Add chopped chicken & pecans
5.Let set in refrigerator for several hours
6.Add Miracle Whip to desired consistency
Excellent gift idea!! Place some homemade bread and this jam in a pretty
basket, and decorate with ribbons or fresh flowers.
Wash & peel any bad spots from peaches. Do not peel. Cut into
pieces & whirl briefly in a blender. Do about 2 cups at a time.
Pour into a large heavy pan & add sugar. Stir over low heat
until sugar is dissolved. Turn heat to high & boil for 12 to 15
minutes, stirring constantly. Cook until syrup is clear and
mixture is thickened. Pour into sterilized jars & seal. The skin
gives a beautiful color to the jam.

Combine sugar, sour cream, milk, butter, corn syrup and salt in a heavy
2 quart sauce pan. Still over moderate heat until sugar dissolves and the
the mixture reaches a boil. Boil over moderate heat 9 ~ 10 minutes, to 238° F,
(soft ball stage) and if you are making this on a damp day, let the oven temp. go to
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 Tbs butter
- 1 Tbs light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup quartered candied cherries
Remove from heat and allow to stand until lukewarm(110° F)
about 1 hour. Add vanilla and beat until mixture just begins to lose its gloss
and holds its shape. (Requires very little beating)
Quickly stir in walnuts and cherries -- then turn into an oiled pan (size and shape of pan determines thickness
of pieces). Let stand until firm before cutting. Makes 1 1/2 pounds of fudge.
Combine all ingredients in a jar. Shake until well blended.

- 2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper

Instant Russian Tea
Also suited for gift giving along with Hot Chocolate Mix.
Thoroughly mix all ingredients, and store in airtight containers.
- 2 cups Tang
- 1 cup instant unflavored Nestea
- 1/4 cup instant dry lemonade mix
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
Directions on label or personal use:
Use one teaspoonful for every cup of boiling water.
Chocolate Pecan Sauce
This is so easy to make, and really dresses up plain vanilla ice cream. A great way to end a big meal, or
a great time saver when u don't have time to make a dessert!!
Sauté nuts in butter until lightly browned. Remove from heat and add the chocolate
bits, stirring until melted. Serve hot over vanilla or coffee ice cream.
- 1/4 cup butter
- one cup pecans, chopped
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate bits
Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg & water. Beat
until smooth. Pour oil into a deep skillet & heat to
medium heat. Dip vegetables (onion, mushrooms, or
squash ) a few at a time into the batter. Drop into
heated oil & fry 2 or 3 minutes, turn one time. Cook until
brown. Drain on paper towels.
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 qt. canola oil
Heat margarine, milk & chocolate chips until melted.
- 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 scant cup Eagle Brand Milk
- 3 tbs. Butter or Margarine
- 2 tbs. Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
Add vanilla & pecans. Pour into an 8x8 pan. Cool &
cut in squares.
Quick and easy snack!!
Layer the ingredients in a casserole dish as listed above and bake 20 minutes in a 375° oven!

- 1/2 bag crushed Frito-Lay corn chips
- 1 small jar taco sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
No Mess Meal
Great for outdoor grilling and picnics!! For each guest you will need:
Place meat on a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Sprinkle with salt
and pepper, or McCormick's Seasoning Salt. Add remaining ingredients in order.
Dot each with 2 tablespoons butter, lightly sprinkle veggies with seasoning salt or salt and
and pepper. Seal foil tightly. Cook on grill about 1 hour.
- 1 large hamburger patty or chicken breast
- 1 potato, cut into slices
- 1 onion, cut into slices
- 1 carrot, cut into slices
- 1/4 cabbage, sliced thinly
- 3 Mushrooms, sliced

Southern Salted Pecans
Heat oil in skillet until bubbles appear when a nut is added. Add nuts one cup at a time. Cook over very low heat until lightly browned. With a slotted spoon, remove nuts to absorbent paper. Sprinkle with salt. Makes 4 cups.
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 4 cups shelled pecans (1 lb.)
