• A license may be obtained from any County Clerk Marriage License Center in Tennessee (licenses are valid anywhere in the state). No appointment is necessary.
  
  
  • License cost is $36 (County Clerk's only accept cash in the exact amount).
  • Licenses are only valid for 30 days after their issue.
  • Both parties must be present to obtain a license.
  • Age Requirements
    • If 18 or over, any of the following will do:
      • Valid Driver's License
      • State-Issued I.D.
      • Valid Passport
      • Certified Birth Certificate
    • If under 18
      • the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of each under 18 applicant must sign the marriage certificate.
  • There is no waiting period. No blood tests are required. Applicants do not need to be residents of Sevier County or Tennessee.
