Tennessee Marriage License Information
- A license may be obtained from any County Clerk Marriage License Center in Tennessee (licenses are valid anywhere in the state). No appointment is necessary.
- License cost is $36 (County Clerk's only accept cash in the exact amount).
- Licenses are only valid for 30 days after their issue.
- Both parties must be present to obtain a license.
- Age Requirements
- If 18 or over, any of the following will do:
- Valid Driver's License
- State-Issued I.D.
- Valid Passport
- Certified Birth Certificate
- If under 18
- the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of each under 18 applicant must sign the marriage certificate.
- If 18 or over, any of the following will do:
- There is no waiting period. No blood tests are required. Applicants do not need to be residents of Sevier County or Tennessee.
